Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons spiced rum
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise
  • 1 (14-ounce) container Chocolate M&M’S® Ice Cream
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, chopped

Recipe Directions

  1. Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon and bring to a boil, about 4 minutes.
  2. Place bananas in rum sauce and cook, basting the bananas as they cook until softened, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Divide bananas between bowls and drizzle with rum sauce. Top evenly with ice cream and whipped cream. Garnish with pecans and serve.
