Recipe Ingredients
- 1 (16.5 ounce) roll sugar cookie dough
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 (7-ounce) tube white decorating cookie icing
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 12 large marshmallows
- 2 teaspoons orange confetti sprinkles
- 1 cup green and red candy-coated chocolate candies
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Break cookie dough into large pieces in a large bowl. Add flour and mix together with wooden spoon or hands, until combined. On a lightly floured work surface, roll dough 1/4-inch-thick, using additional flour, as needed, to prevent sticking. Cut out dough with 3-inch-round cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on separate prepared baking sheets 1/2-inch apart. Bake, one baking sheet at a time, until edges of cookies are set and just begin to brown around the edges, about 8 to 10 minutes. Repeat with remaining cookies. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool completely at room temperature.
- Spread white icing over top of each cookie, letting it drip slightly over the edges to resemble melted snow.
- Place chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave dark chocolate in 30-second increments, stirring between, until melted. Transfer dark chocolate to a piping bag and cut a small tip from the corner.
- Pipe chocolate eyes, a nose and a mouth onto each marshmallow to create the snowman’s face. Place an orange sprinkle on each nose to resemble a carrot. Place marshmallows slightly off-center on each cookie to create the snowman’s head. Press three chocolate candies in a line down the center to form the snowman’s buttons. Pipe 2 chocolate stick arms, one on each side of each cookie. Serve and enjoy.
