Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1/3 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 4 part-skim mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut into halves
  • ¼ tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 egg
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Recipe Directions

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease or spray cookie sheet.  Combine ricotta cheese and garlic salt in a small bowl. Spray the bottom of a baking sheet with cooking spray, and lay each crescent roll triangle down flat on the sheet. Spread 1 tablespoon ricotta cheese mixture on half of each rectangle to within 1 inch of edge. Place cheese stick in the middle.  Fold dough over filling; firmly press edges with fork to seal. Brush top of each with egg. With fork, prick top of each to allow steam to escape. Bake 15 minutes or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
