Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
  • 1 small (1/2 cup)onion, sliced
  • 1 small (1/2 cup)red bell pepper , sliced
  • 1 small (1/2 cup)green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 1/2 pound sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (4- to 4.4-ounce) pre-baked Naan flatbreads
  • 6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Hot Pepper Monterey Jack Cheese, each cut into strips
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, if desired

Recipe Directions

Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place coals to 1 side in charcoal grill.
 
Melt butter in 10-inch no-stick skillet over medium high heat until sizzling; add onion, peppers and garlic. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 4-6 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in beef strips, chili powder, cumin and salt. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until mixture is heated through. 
 
Divide meat mixture evenly among breads. Top with cheese strips and cilantro, if desired. 
 
Turn off 1 side of gas grill. 
 
Place pizzas onto unheated side. Close lid; grill 9 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is heated through.
 
Recipe Tips:
– One tablespoon fajita seasoning may be used in place of chili powder, cumin and salt. 
– Naan bread is a lightly leavened East Indian flatbread. It comes in different sizes and can be found in the bakery or deli section of the supermarket.
– To bake in oven, heat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in 10-inch no-stick skillet over medium high heat until sizzling; add onion, peppers and garlic. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 4-6 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in beef strips, chili powder, cumin and salt. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until mixture is heated through. Place flatbreads on large ungreased baking sheet. Divide meat mixture evenly among breads. Top with cheese strips and cilantro, if desired. Bake 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
