We know schedules can be hectic during the school year. In this issue we provide some ideas to keep your family well fed and energized—whether it's a quick breakfast before school, a tasty packed lunch, a nutritious afternoon snack or a convenient quick-fix dinner.

Contrary to what most think, the freshness and nutritional value of some frozen foods are greater than fresh foods thanks to cutting-edge flash freezing technology. In fact, in many cases, frozen foods are fresher than their "fresh" counterparts because they are picked and harvested at their peak and then processed under optimal conditions.

When shopping for frozen foods, select packages that are clean and firm. Discolored packages and large amounts of frost may mean that the package has not been kept at the appropriate temperature during storage.
